I love this quote! Writing allows us to dictate the voices inside our head so that they remain entirely our own. As someone who has systematically been punched in the (metaphorical) face for outright abusive marketing, I needed this. I don't need to think of the "7 Best Ways to Lose Weight!" if I'm writing my own narrative.
